Lufthansa | First Class – A Heavenly Ride

Flying is one of my greatest passions. And who could know that my latest intercontinental journey from Beijing to Munich took place in the Champions League of travel classes: First Class. Continue reading

Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2 Ship Tour

She is one of the most iconic passenger ships of modern times and the last true ocean liner sailing the classic transatlantic passage from Southampton to New York and back. I have sailed the one and only RMS Queen Mary 2 a few times already and even though they say “some things cannot get better”, I found out during my latest visit to the queen in the port of Hamburg that they surely can. Having been remastered just a few months ago, QM2 returns into service with retouched interiors that once again reinforce her statement: You are not taking a cruise. You are about to make a journey. Continue reading

Toronto | Casa Loma Tour

The last weekend in June is something holy to me. We normally spend it with our dear Swedish friends to celebrate their unofficial national holiday Midsommar (Read here about it). But this year, instead of merrily dancing around the maypole, I was awarded with a weekend Toronto rotation that I just could not get rid of. But what do you do when things just not work out the way you have planned? Right, make the best out of it! Continue reading

Sofitel Opera | Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt is Germany´s business traveler destination number one. But only few people are aware of the fact that “Mainhattan”, as it is proudly called by the locals, is also a great holiday destination for a romantic weekend getaway in style. So when I organized mine to celebrate my 38th birthday, it came naturally that I would spend this at the city´s latest luxury hotel addition: The Sofitel Opera. Continue reading

Costa Cruises | MS Costa Pacifica Ship Tour

Being currently the second largest vessel amongst the Costa Cruise ships, Costa Pacifica is called “The Ship of Music”. This is mainly due to the musically interior theme that the ship was designed in, but it also reflects in the fact that Pacifica holds an exclusive recording studio where passengers may record their own songs. She has also been dedicated a personal tune upon entering service. Discover her with this detailed interior view photo gallery. Continue reading

Munich | Church Chic – Theatinerkirche

She definitely is one of Munich´s most beautiful churches, inside and outside, but it was not before this year that I laid foot into Theatinerkirche (Theatine Church of St. Cajetan) for the very first time.  Continue reading

Munich | Schloss Nymphenburg Walkabout

It is funny. Every time I visit a castle or a palace I plan to take just a “few” pictures and to concentrate simply on the most beautiful perspectives. When I took a Sunday excursion to Schloss Nymphenburg just this weekend, I left home with the same intention. But who would have known that my attempt would fail big time? Well, I have cut down my collection by over 70 photos, still leaving over 140 reasons to visit this gorgeous palace next time when in Munich. Continue reading

Mittelthurgau Travel | MS Excellence Princess Ship Tour

With an overall length of only 135 meters, Excellence Princess is actually one of the larger vessels floating on the European river network these days. Built in 2014, 186 passengers travel in luxurious outside cabins and junior suites in a highly familiar atmosphere, pampered with outstanding cuisine and first class service. I enjoyed a full week of Swiss hospitality on the Rhine River and I would most definitely go back onboard anytime. Continue reading

Munich | Church Chic – St. Michael Church

One of Munich´s churches that had a strong influence on the typical Bavarian Baroque architecture is the largest religious Renaissance construction north of the Alps: The Jesuit church of Saint Micheal. Continue reading
