Los Angeles | The Perch Rooftop Bar

Wherever you seek a stylish place for your lunch or dinner cravings or simply a distinguished downtown refuge for Cocktails in between, The Perch offers both. From its classic French inspired Bistro cuisine to professionally stirred and shaken world-class lounge drinks on the open air terrace underneath the L.A. twinkling stars.

Having your head in the sky while walking does not necessarily mean that you´ll stumble and fall. At least not this time as I was busy running around downtown Los Angeles in order to discover some exciting sightseeing hotspots that I had researched for the blog.

It was past noon and I just happened to pass Pershing Square while touring the famous Jewelry District when my eyes suddenly got hold of this glowing green rooftop oasis. The white umbrellas were glistening in the bright sunlight, it was almost like this mysterious place was calling my name.

A few minutes later, I found myself surrounded by a beautiful and well-dressed Sunday afternoon crowd, chilling on comfortably padded cast iron sofas and arm-chairs. While the restaurant on the 15th floor serves light French inspired classics meant for sharing or to be enjoyed solely, the rooftop bar focuses on alcoholic drinks only!

For this reason, admittance to it requires guests to be at least 21 years of age and older. This helps The Perch to offer a rather upscale and relaxed atmosphere with a great mixture of maturity.

As there is 5 o´clock somewhere on the planet at any time of day, my discovery was the perfect reason to celebrate it by enjoying the wonderful “Spicy Concombre” signature cocktail. A crisp and not too sweet urban refreshment consisting of Gin, St. Germain, lime juice, cucumber and jalapeno chili.

A great place for simply a drink in-between or a whole afternoon on a sunny day. Glam up if you plan to go in the evenings! The view is definitely worth it!
