Fort Lauderdale | La Casa

Tired of the noise and allures of South Beach or looking for a romantic and secluded hideaway before, after or in between cruises from Port Everglades? La Casa in Fort Lauderdale´s North Beach Village combines the style and the atmosphere of a Family run boutique hotel with a grandiose location close to Lauderdale´s beach hotspots, restaurants and bars.

Surrounded by a lush tropical garden, the hotel features only 15 units ranging from charming Studios to tastefully decorated suites. All being accessed from the hotel´s private courtyard.

There are various sitting spaces, a pool and sun loungers to unwind on. This is definitely not a party hotel and therefore perfectly suited for couples and individuals that seek relaxation.

La Casa lies in the quiet neighbourhood North Beach Village and is only three blocks away from the ocean. Check-in takes places at the adjacent Winterset Suites Hotel from where all other services like Room Service, i.e.,  are obtained from, too.

The crowd features all age groups with the majority being of a more mature background due to La Casa´s quiet premise. Hotel rules on each room´s door ask all guests for considerate behaviour towards each other. Something that I personally highly appreciate!

For our stay, we decided for an Executive Studio with a King bed. I would not call La Casa to be a luxury accommodation, but the devoted style and decoration of the room create a tasteful and almost elegant ambience that you feel comfortable in straight away.

All Rooms and suites include Refrigerator, Coffee Maker, Hairdryer, Safe, Iron and Ironing Board. One-Bedroom Suites and Deluxe Studios have s toaster.

The room came at 134 US-Dollars per night (I booked it right on the website of La Casa as the rate turned out to be better than on any of the booking sites like Trivago, Orbitz or

The Executive Studios also feature a large sleeping couch in case you plan to share the room with friends. Space is ample yet perfectly sized for a couple when you are seeking a little bit more room for yourself.

The bathroom features a walk in shower, a sink, a toilet, a hair dryer and two towel racks. The only minus is the very limited Storage space for personal toiletry items. Above that, a clean and adequate fitting with nice decor elements such as a small wall-mounted crystal flower vase or the antique-style water tap.

I would choose La Casa anytime again! A comfortable, lovely and quiet place to enjoy a relaxed and secluded stay just a stone´s throw away from the lively ocean shore of Central Beach in Fort Lauderdale. Great price-performance.
