Having just been to Madrid on one of my recent trips, today I would like to introduce you to one of my most favourite boutique hotels in the Spanish capital.
nh Collection Abascal
Calle José Abascal 47
While not being right downtown Madrid close to the most important sights, NH Collection Abascal makes much up to it by its elegant decor and refined style.
The partly modern, partly classic design hotel is situated in a former embassy building in a neighbourhood called Chamberi. Paseo de la Castellana and Salamanca (both well-known areas of Madrid) are just minutes away and the surroundings offer a variety of different restaurants and Tapas bars.
If you like to do some sightseeing, the metro is only a few minutes by foot away.
I like the hotel mostly because it is very calm. The rooms are cozy apart from being modernly furnished, there is a Nespresso maker in every room with three free capsules every day, wi-fi is included and the staff is warm and helpful.
Minus is the very basic fitness center on the lower level with no day light. The bar is a cool place to hang out after returning from a busy sightseeing day, yet the outside terrace could have been a little bit more spacious.
To me personally, it is a hotel I always look forward to overnight at. But enough of the words, here are some impressions… 🙂
